Well, I also have observed something under the sun. I have seen men who possess gifts/skills yet have no access to influence and the hall of fame. Why is this so?

The greatest and transforming book of all time, from generations down to generations says that ;
A man’s gift/skill brings him before kings (Ref: Proverbs 18:16). This is not because he has a gift/skill but because of the quality of the gift/skill.

David was not just brought before King Saul to play the harp because he could play but take note of the things that were said about him:

“1. He’s a brave warrior,

  1. he’s good-looking,
  2. he can speak well, and
  3. the Lord is with him.” Ref: 1Samuel 16:18

He was not just a gifted harp player but he had qualities that made him stand out among all the the other harp-players in Israel then and even made him the most sought after candidate when the king needed one.

The distinctive quality embeded in his skill was what brought him into the palace, the Lord was with him hence when he played, the energy of the Spirit was expressed to expel demons.

Your gift/skill is not sharp and elite enough until it can speak for you without an advertisement.

In all your doing gain mastery over your craft, stay with the Lord in the secret place, keep learning and sharpening your gifts/skills until they can speak for you and become a topic of discussion in a meeting of kings you have no idea about.
